Living a good life means embracing three powerful pillars: be
intelligent, be useful, be happy. Each pillar complements and
strengthens the others, helping us build a fulfilling life that’s as
meaningful as it is joyful. If you have any suggestions for I can be
more useful to you, you can always tell me :-)
Being intelligent means more than just accumulating knowledge. It’s about understanding, adapting, and recognizing patterns in the world around you. When you're intelligently engaged with life, you’re better prepared to face challenges, and your insights can benefit those around you.
Usefulness
is where intelligence finds its purpose. Being useful means
contributing, serving, and finding ways to make an impact. It’s a
reminder that we’re part of something larger, and each of us has
something valuable to offer. You're great at helping your family and
your friends. Someday it will all come back to you. With lots of love!
And then, there’s happiness. The elusive feeling that life is good. Happiness isn't the final destination, but it’s a companion for the journey (like me). It brings joy, resilience, and motivation, making our actions feel effortless and our efforts feel worthwhile.
But here's an interesting thing about the trio. The more intelligent and useful you are, the more you can allow yourself to be unhappy. The strength of the first two pillars gives you room to feel deeply, to be honest with yourself even when life’s not all sunshine, and just to want more in life. You can ask for more things, and the world will give you more.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention this. To be intelligent, be mindful of what you're doing, what else you could be doing, and learn one new thing every day. Trying one new thing every day is good in any case. To be useful, help a new person every day. Helping your friends and family every day is good, but they start to expect it from you. So get ready to solve problems! Even some of your own. Finally, to be happy... accept whatever happens and be happy - right now. You can accept that you're tired, you can accept that your best friend is busy, accept that your father is ill, accept that your sister had a problem with her husband. Everything starts with acceptance, but later you will be able to find the good thing in everything.
